The Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has been operating in the domestic and international markets since 1947. The Company has grown from a modest department at the USSR Ministry of Finance into a solid company with an extensive regional branch network. Ingosstrakh today is the biggest federal insurance company and one of Russia's leading insurers by premiums and payouts, and by balance-sheet results.

Ingosstrakh's high business reputation is confirmed by Russian rating agency Expert RA, which has re-assigned its top "A++" rating to the Company. The Company obtained the "A++" rating for the first time in 2002. The Company is also rated by international ratings agency Standard&Poor's.

Ingosstrakh has remained the leader in the national market throughout its history, achieving success in the field of client relations, and winning the trust of millions of individual clients and tens of thousands of companies. Today, our insurance company's clients include major industrial enterprises, foreign trade organizations, transport and trading companies, banks, and representative offices of transnational organizations. Most of have been clients for many years.

Licenses to provide all types of insurance and reinsurance specified by the Federation Law on Insurance in the Russian Federation allow the company to protect the financial interests of its clients in full.

Ingosstrakh provides the full range of insurance services. Its financial strength, considerable equity and reliable reinsurance programs mean Ingosstrakh is able to cover policy holders for any possible losses. The company's reinsurance partners include leading international companies: Allianz, AXA, CCR, Gen Re, Hannover Re, Lloyd's syndicates, Munich Re, Partner Re, QBE, SCOR, Swiss Re, Transatlantic Re, XL Re and others.

Ingosstrakh's services are available everywhere in the Russian Federation thanks to its extensive regional network, which includes 83 branches. The Company's offices operate in 220 Russian cities. In addition, Ingosstrakh holds shares in companies operating in the CIS and other countries. The INGO International Insurance Group includes companies in which Ingosstrakh holds at least a 50% share. INGO currently includes eight companies abroad and nine in Russia.

Five Ingosstrakh representative offices operate in the CIS and other countries, including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, India and China.

Ingosstrakh has been developing a proprietary network of clinics under the "Be Healthy" brand since 2006 in order to further its voluntary medical insurance business. At present, the network consists of two adult clinics and one children's clinic in Moscow, and clinics were opened in St Petersburg and Saratov in 2009. Clinics in Krasnodar, Kazan, Ufa and Novosibirsk are planned.

A new company, INGO-ONDD, set up by Ingosstrakh and Belgian national export credit agency Office National du Ducroire (ONDD) to offer protection from credit risks to Russian and international companies operating in Russia, started to operate in December 2009. INGO-ONDD's mission is to reinforce Ingosstrakh's leadership in the Russian and CIS credit risk insurance market in a fiercely competitive environment.

Basic Element Open for Talks on Ingosstrakh

Basic Element (Basel), the majority shareholder of Ingosstrakh, remains open for talks with the insurer's minority shareholders about raising the Generali's stake in the insurer, Interfax reported June 24 referring to Andrei Elinson, deputy CEO of Basel.
