Vera Kurochkina
Vera Kurochkina is appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Basic Element Company in 2012. She will combine her new position with her existing role as Director for corporate communications at UC RUSAL.
She also graduated from the Finance Academy under the Russian Government. Between 2003 and 2006, Ms Kurochkina was RUSAL's head of media relations. In 2006, she was appointed RUSAL's Director for corporate communications. In 2010 she joined the Board of Directors of the Company.
Ms Kurochkina holds a BA Honours degree from the Russian University of People's Friendship.

Andrey Oleynik
Andrey Oleynik joined Basic Element in 2010 as the Deputy Managing Director of Agribusiness. Andrey has extensive experience in the sector having previously worked as an Executive Director at the Guta Group and heading the asset management department in the agricultural sector of the Russian Asian Investment Company from 2006-2009. He has held a range of senior management positions in companies such as SoySpectrum, AgroInvest, Stavropol Fat and Oil Plant, SouyzContract and was Deputy Chairman of V/O Prodintorg.
Andrey Oleynik graduated from the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys in 1994. He has a diploma in Management and Marketing from the Lavanium International Management Center and is currently undertaking an MBA program at the University of Durham in UK.

Victoria Petrova
Victoria Petrova is appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Basic Element Company in April, 2011. In this position she is in charge of human resources management and social development programs at the enterprises of the Group.
Prior to joining Basic Element Company, Victoria Petrova worked as HR Director of the United Company RUSAL since the Company was formed. Since 2001, Victoria Petrova worked as head of RUSAL's HR Directorate. During the five years prior to joining RUSAL, she worked as HR manager and sales efficiency manager for Bristol-Myers Squibb. From 1991 to 1996, she held various senior positions in the Russian headquarters of leading American companies, such as Halliburton and Belcom.
Victoria Petrova graduated with honours from the Medical Department of the Peoples' Friendship University in Moscow, and in 2000 she graduated from the State Academy for Advanced Training of Investment Specialists (GASIS). Ms. Petrova has also obtained advanced training through HR management courses in Management Centre Europe (Belgium, 2000) and at INSEAD (France, 2003).

Marina Chekurova
Before joining Basic Element in July 2011, Marina Chekurova spent five years working for Renaissance Group as Director of RenFin 1 and RenFin 2 investment funds.
Between 2005 and 2006, Marina Chekurova headed Neftyanoy commercial bank, and spent six years at Russia's Agency for Restructuring of Credit Organizations where she held a number of senior positions.
She has also served as Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federal Property Fund and Deputy Head of Securities and State Debt Department at the Russian Ministry of Finance.
A graduate of the Economics Department of Kiev State University, she took postgraduate studies at the Moscow State University and has PhD in Economics.

Oksana Nazarova
Oksana Nazarova was appointed head of the Human Resources Department in June 2011.
Prior to joining Basic Element, Oksana Nazarova was Head of the Corporate University Department at UC RUSAL. She also previously worked at the Office for Social Policy at LLC Yukos-Moscow.
Oksana Navarova graduated from the Ho Chi Minh Institute of Foreign Languages in Irkutsk. In 2006 she undertook advanced vocational training in human resource management at the State Academy for Investment Employees.
She is a long-standing member of the IVETA international association for professional education and a European Training Foundation expert.

Andrey Elinson
Andrey Elinson joined Basic Element in August 2007 as a Director of Corporate Governance and Internal Control.
Before joining the company, he worked for Deloitte & Touche CIS where from 1997 he led various consulting projects and audits at Russian and international companies and subsequently headed an advisory group on financial investigation and economic disputes. From 2004, he supervised the establishment of effective internal control and risk management systems.
Andrey Elinson graduated with honors from the Russian Government's Finance Academy with a degree in Accounting and Auditing. He is a U.S. Certified Public Accountant and a U.S. Certified Fraud Examiner. He holds a Certificate in Company Direction and a Russian certificate in auditing.
Andrey Elinson is a member of the Board at the Russian Institute of Internal Auditors and co-chair of Quality commission at the Russian Institute of Professional Accountants.

Marina Kaldina
Marina Kaldina has worked at Basic Element since 2001. Until 2007 she headed law department of the company, since 2007 to March 2009 held the position of Advisor to the Chairman of Supervisory Board.
Prior to Basic Element, Marina Kaldina worked in the American law firms Steptoe & Johnson и Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, headed EMIKON company, worked in the Prosecutor's office of Chelyabinsk region.
Marina Kaldina graduated from Sverdlovsk Law Institute. She holds LLM degree from Emory University (USA).

Stanislav Karabut
Stanislav Karabut initially joined Basic Element in 2005 before being appointed CEO of the Russian Asian Investment Company (RAINCO). After the transfer of RAINCO assets to Basic Element, Stanislav Karabut returned to the company as Deputy CEO.
Prior to Basic Element, Stanislav Karabut worked at the "Baltika-Moscow" brewing company, rising to the position of Commercial Director and later CEO. From 1998 to 2003 he headed the investment firm "Russian Company".
Mr Karabut graduated with honors with a degree in physics and undertook postgraduate studies at the Moscow State University.

Valery Pechenkin
Prior to joining the company in 2001, Valery Pechenkin served for 30 years in various state security agencies, and from 1997 was Deputy Director for Counterintelligence Operations at the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.
Valery Pechenkin graduated from the Lugansk Mechanical Engineering Institute and the Higher KGB School in Minsk.

Timur Valiev
Timur Valiev joined Basic Element's legal team as an advisor in February 2009.
Prior to Basic Element, Timur Valiev worked at the international law firm Dewey & LeBoeuf, the legal department of oil company TNK-BP, and for a number of Russian consulting firms.
Timur Valiev graduated with honors with a degree in Law and undertook postgraduate studies at the Moscow State University.

Igor Ermilin
Igor Ermilin joined Basic Element in 2003 and has held a range of positions in the company's legal department, which he has headed since 2008. Mr Ermilin was appointed Legal Director of the Energy Sector in 2009.
Prior to joining Basic Element, Igor Ermilin worked for the Russian Government, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and practiced in the private sector with major UK and US law firms and as a solo practitioner in Moscow, London, Washington D.C. and New York.
His legal background includes debt, equity and project financing, mergers and acquisitions and natural resources development transactions. Igor Ermilin graduated from Moscow State University Law School in 1982 and Georgetown University Law Center in 1997. He is a member of the New York Bar and admitted to practice law in Russia and in the State of New York.

Artem Leontiev
Artem Leontev joined Basic Element in April 2008 as deputy director of the corporate governance and internal control department.
Prior to joining Basic Element, he was a Senior Manager with the audit and enterprise risk services practice with Deloitte, Touche and Tohmatsu CIS, an international audit firm. Between September 2003 and March 2006 Artem Leontev headed financial services at Rentokil Initial Healthcare (Australia) overseeing financial planning, reporting and control of the division. He has also held various financial positions with Russian oil companies, including deputy department director within the marketing, refining and sales arm of Tyumen Oil Company (TNK), where he was responsible for the financial planning and performance management of downstream operations.
Artem is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He graduated with a degree in accounting and audit from Perm State University, Russia, in 1995. He also holds a BA in business administration from Brighton University and an MBA from Durham Business School (both UK).

Oleg Mozgunov
Oleg Mozgunov has overseen government relations of the company for more than 10 years.
Prior to joining the company he headed Internal Control and Analysis Department at the commercial bank "Mosvodokanalbank" and before that he held senior positions in banking and financial institutions.
Oleg Mozgunov graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute and from the Russian-American Banking Institute with a degree in Banking Audit. He also studied banking and finance at the Plekhanov Academy of Economics.

Ruslan Terekbaev
Ruslan Terekbaev was appointed Managing Director of Basic Element's media business in December 2010, with responsibility for ForMedia and the Forward Media Group, of which he is also CEO.
Ruslan has held a range of management positions within Basic Element's companies since 2002. He has extensive experience in the media sector having previously worked as a Deputy CEO of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, CEO of TVS television channel, Deputy CEO of Television and Radio channel "Culture", CEO of Radio Maximum, and Telecommunications Systems Director of the United Editorial Board of "Moscow News" newspapers.
Ruslan Terekbaev graduated from the Moscow Electro-technical Institute of Communications in 1982.
